Each one-piece leather upper is cut from a seamless piece of vegetable tanned semi-cordovan, with soft latex padding at the forefoot and suede lining around the vamp for functional comfort in the garden or around the yard. Chunky, ultralight Vibram outsoles designed exclusively for FEIT provide traction in all weather without adding unnecessary weight, and a hand sewn Goodyear welt allows the clog to shape itself to the wearer’s foot with time.
All FEIT shoes are made from start to finish by one master craftsman. The one-piece upper is sewn by hand directly to the midsole. A cork footbed and a bamboo shank stabilizer are added, before cementing the leather outsole to the midsole using a natural, water-based glue. We refer to this process as a handsewn Goodyear construction—this method ensures all FEIT shoes can be resoled.
