Description

The FEIT Handmade Runner is a low-profile low top runner and walking sneaker, designed for natural movement and everyday comfort. Goodyear handmade in Italy the shoe FEIT’s commitment to human craftsmanship and timeless construction.

The upper is cut from a single piece of long haired english suede, selected for its elasticity, breathability, and ability to conform to the foot over time. This one-piece leather construction minimizes seams while a split-front design allows the upper to wrap naturally around the foot, creating a snug, seamless heel for stability and comfort. Raw, unlined edges highlight the purity of the materials while exposed stitching reveals the hand-built process behind each pair. A robust, one-piece, rolling-style outsole made from natural hevea latex with a classic tread pattern provides ergonomic, all-day comfort on your feet, as well as traction and stability on a variety of surfaces. All components that make this style to be worn barefoot with zero odor.

Process & Components

The shoe is constructed almost entirely from natural materials, with a soft suede upper and minimal synthetic components. The leather interior remains breathable and adaptable, allowing the shoe to be worn comfortably barefoot. Over time the materials soften and conform to the foot, creating a fit that becomes increasingly personal with wear.

Materials

A rolling natural latex sole instead of synthetic foam cushioning. Most modern sneakers are built around thick synthetic foam midsoles. Lightweight at first, but prone to compression and breakdown over time. The FEIT Handmade Runner takes a different approach. Instead of foam, the shoe is built on a solid outsole made from natural Hevea latex, a renewable material tapped from rubber trees.

Underfoot, this chunky rolling outsole creates a gentle forward motion as you walk. The flexible natural latex sole provides cushioning, traction, and stability across a variety of surfaces while maintaining the lightweight profile expected from a modern low top sneaker. The result is a naturally comfortable handmade runner designed for walking, travel, and everyday movement.

Natural latex behaves differently from synthetic foam. It compresses and rebounds without collapsing, maintaining its structure over time while allowing the foot to move naturally. The material provides shock absorption, flexibility, and a closer connection to the ground beneath you.

Location & Specialty

Since the Middle Ages, the Tuscany region of Italy has been synonymous with leather craftsmanship.

Our shoes feature a latex outsole, and an upper constructed of natural materials that make it plastic free and fully biodegradable.

While it is unusual for a product such as this to be hand crafted using Goodyear construction, it provides exceptional comfort and allows them to be resoled as needed. Due to its anti-microbial properties these shoes can be worn barefoot and we encourage this after several initial wears.
