A stripped-back interpretation of the traditional zip boot, handmade in Italy from black veg tanned leather with a brutalist structured silhouette. The narrow shaft sits below the ankle bone and opens through a discreet back zip, preserving the clean, uninterrupted profile of the one piece upper. The black leather upper is cut with additional material built into the pattern, allowing it to fold and gather naturally around the foot and ankle. This creates the boot’s relaxed, scrunched appearance, which becomes more pronounced and individual with wear.
The Handsewn Goodyear Zip Boot is handmade in Italy from black veg tanned leather using traditional handsewn and handmade Goodyear-welted construction for lasting comfort, stability and the ability to be repaired and resoled over time. Each pair is crafted from start to finish within a small family-run atelier in Montegranaro, a historic town in Italy’s Marche region known for centuries for making shoes and boots by hand.
The Zip Boot construction returns to the original principles of FEIT: making footwear slowly and by hand, with an emphasis on longevity, repairability and lasting comfort. Traditional bootmaking is reduced to its essential elements and reinterpreted through FEIT’s brutalist design language.
