FEIT reinterpreted our classic Slip On for this open-back Mule. Handsewn on a slim sole using a single piece of vegetable tanned leather for the upper and an elegant leather wrap around to hide the Goodyear construction and natural cork midsole. Raw, unlined edges highlight the simplicity of natural material and human craftsmanship. First released in 2014, we’ve changed little about the Handsewn Mule other than adding thin rubber Vibram rubber sole to pad and protect the sole from water as well as general wear and tear. A timeless classic style for the ages.

Location & Specialty

The craft, elegance and dexterity of Chinese artisans has been sought after for thousands of years.

At our workshops in southern China, FEIT’s classic footwear is built by hand over the course of 14 days and hundreds of individual steps. All the materials used are natural, and no two pairs are exactly alike.

This is the height of shoemaking and will only get better with age. The vegetable tanned leather retains a neutral and odor free quality in any environment and can be worn barefoot. We encourage you to do so after several initial wears.
