FEIT Handsewn Ballet Capsule

Film by
Benjamin Millepied

Featuring Janie Taylor

Given carte blanche to test out FEIT’s first capsule collection exclusively for women, Benjamin Millepied shot a short film using a handheld Super 8 film camera, featuring muse Janie Taylor performing slow, grounded movements and an acoustic score written and performed by his brother Laurent Millepied.

Janie Taylor danced for the New York City Ballet from 1998 to 2014, retiring as a Principal, and recently joined the L.A. Dance Project.

Formerly a Principal in the New York City Ballet and the Director of Dance at the Paris Opera Ballet, internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied co-founded the L.A. Dance Project in 2012.

The L.A. Dance Project promotes the work of emerging and established collaborators in various disciplines. “In Silence We Speak” for Janie Taylor and Carla Korbes premiered at the Joyce Theater in New York on June 14th.
