With the traditional Cossack styles in mind, FEIT’s Shearling Boot is a modern take on a weather-focused classic. The Russian style, called Valenki, was designed for the country’s harsh winters and was constructed from thick felt, and later adopted into Russian dance culture. Constructed from two pieces and stitched across the arch for seamless mobility, our Shearling Boot is constructed for convenience and comfort. The natural padding at the shearling collar creates a roll-down effect synonymous with the Russian style.
Our wool shearling lining ensures your feet remain warm regardless of climate or weather conditions and are equally comfortable with or without socks. The Vibram® outsole and seamless one-piece leather upper make this boot naturally water-resistant. This is a hard-working boot built to withstand all conditions.
All FEIT shoes are made from start to finish by one master craftsman. The one-piece upper is sewn by hand directly to the midsole. A cork footbed and a bamboo shank stabilizer is added, then the leather outsole is cemented to the midsole using a natural, water-based glue. We refer to this process as a modified hand-sewn Goodyear construction.
Goodyear construction ensures all FEIT shoes can be resoled.
Each pair of FEIT shoes comes with an extra set cork and buffalo leather insoles to assist with in-between sizing. The additional leather insole can be used alone, or the cork can be inserted underneath the leather for extra padding. If you are between sizes, you can either size up and use the included insoles, or size down and use no additional insoles. All FEIT shoes include an additional buffalo leather insert that may cause slippage if worn with a sock. Flip the insert if friction is scarce.
