Each pair in this highly limited run of 60 pairs of hiking boots is unique. The leather uppers were dyed, painted, or embossed by hand in BDDW’s Philadelphia studio before being sent back to FEIT for hand lasting and hand sewing. Each pair is presented in a custom wooden box made by BDDW, and are individually numbered.
Please note that all FEIT for BDDW boots are one of a kind artistic pieces and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged.
All FEIT shoes are made from start to finish by one master craftsman. The one-piece upper is sewn by hand directly to the midsole. A cork footbed and a bamboo shank stabilizer is added, then the leather outsole is cemented to the midsole using a natural, water-based glue. We refer to this process as a modified hand-sewn Goodyear construction.
Goodyear construction ensures all FEIT shoes can be resoled.
Each pair of FEIT shoes comes with an extra set cork and buffalo leather insoles to assist with in-between sizing. The additional leather insole can be used alone, or the cork can be inserted underneath the leather for extra padding. If you are between sizes, you can either size up and use the included insoles, or size down and use no additional insoles. All FEIT shoes include an additional buffalo leather insert that may cause slippage if worn with a sock. Flip the insert if friction is scarce.
