Modeled after the traditional school shoe, this modern, pared-down style uses a one-piece leather upper fused at the heel with a hand-stitched plait and discreet, ornamental tassel. The same L-shaped plait stitch is used along the welt, where it remains exposed.

Construction

All FEIT shoes are made from start to finish by one master craftsman. The one-piece upper is sewn by hand directly to the midsole. A cork footbed and a bamboo shank stabilizer are added, before cementing the leather outsole to the midsole using a natural, water-based glue. We refer to this process as a modified handsewn Goodyear construction—this method ensures all FEIT shoes can be resoled.

Material

FEIT footwear is mainly built using vegetable-tanned leather. Vegetable-tanned leather breathes as in nature. It is non-irritant, soft to touch, ages richly over time, and biodegrades. The leather remains neutral regardless of the temperature, and does not retain sweat or odor, allowing FEIT shoes to be worn barefoot and get better with age.

SIZING

This pair of FEIT shoes comes with an extra set of cork and buffalo leather insoles to assist with in-between sizing. The additional leather insoles can be used alone, or the cork can be inserted underneath the leather for extra padding. If you are between sizes, you can either size up and use the included insoles, or size down and use no additional insoles.

FEIT shoes come with a separate cork and buffalo leather insole to ensure complete comfort and assist with in between sizes. The natural cork should be fitted underneath the extra buffalo leather insole if the shoe fits a little large.
