The Bund watch strap was first used by WWII pilots because of its insulating properties. The leather backing would ensure that the watch face would not freeze or burn the pilot’s wrist when exposed to extreme conditions.
Later, the first man to venture into space - Yuri Gagarin, as well as Paul Newman- he of the signature Rolex Daytona - became celebrated wearers of the Bund strap.
Made in a small family run atelier outside of Florence trained in the craft of artisanal Florentine leather goods, our vegetable leather watch straps are available in 18, 20 and 22mm in each of of our Spring 2014 colors.
Please note that only the strap is for sale.
FEIT footwear is mainly built using vegetable-tanned leather. Vegetable-tanned leather breathes as in nature. It is non-irritant, soft to touch, ages richly over time, and biodegrades. The leather remains neutral regardless of the temperature, and does not retain sweat or odor, allowing FEIT shoes to be worn barefoot and get better with age.
Each FEIT watch strap is handmade in a small, family-run atelier outside of Florence trained in the craft of artisanal Florentine leather goods.
Watch strap sizes are measured in milimeters. To identify the properly-sized strap for your watch, measure the distance in millimeters between the lugs on your watch case.
